17th C. chinese Transitional Ko-sometsuke Dish
Fine chinese Blue and White Porcelain Dish – 17th Century, Tianqi Period to Shunzhi Period
The dish is decorated with a large central lotus flower, enclosed by more blossoms at the rim. Painted in cobalt blue oxide underglaze. Artist-signed at the backside.
Ko-sometsuke ware was made in China for the Japanese Market.
Almost perfect condition, one small chip at the backside – further only the typical traces of production and use. A rare collectors piece!
