Colourful paintet chinese porcelain charger in the famille rose palet, with a close design to that on Meissen porcelain/Germany; made ca. 1765–70 for Judith and Samuel Verplanck, New York, a wealthy merchant and politician. The plate depicts numerous blossoms in magnificent colors – chinese porcelain made for the American market.
