19th C. chinese Peranakan Tripod Censer – Phoenix
Unusual chinese Porcelain Tripod Censer, Daoguang Period (1821-1850)
Finely decorated Peranakan/Baba-Nyonya porcelain Incense Burner with flying phoenix and flowers in many colours. Made in China for the Peranakan (Baba-Nyonya) communities of Malaysia and Singapore and it’s with thick enamel in the style of Straits Nyonya wares.
Perfect condition, only the typical traces of production and of the age. The cover is missing.
