Rare chinese Daoguang Mark and Period Dish (1821-1850)
A very finely painted and rare chinese porcelain dish, beautiful and rich decorated in blue and white underglaze. The medallion depicts a rider on a water buffalo, surrounded by a willow. This small blue and white porcelain dish features a classic scene of a boy riding a water buffalo, a motif deeply rooted in Chinese culture representing a simple, peaceful country life and Zen Buddhist ideals of enlightenment.

Almost perfect condition, one tiny frit at the rim backside and a fine line in the glaze (see photo 10) – further only the typical traces of production and use. No chips, cracks, hairlines or restorations.
