Rare Cizhou Ware Dish from good shape with simple decoration of stylised flowers. During the Yuan Period the potters used sandy lumps as separator for stacking during firing which left sandy patches on the interior and foot of the bowls and plates.

Large dish from late Ming Dynasty, rounded sides with a deep footring
The plate is decorated in underglaze cobalt-oxide blue, and features stylised chrysanthemum blossoms amidst scroll motifs – the bottom is without glaze and from dark material (an important difference to the found in the Desaru shipwreck which sank in the 1830s).
