Rare Chinese Porcelain Dish, Jiajing Period (1522-1566)
Fine Ming Dynasty Dish with a jumping Koi Fish as decoration in the center – underglaze blue painted using outline and wash technqiue. Similar are found in the “Inh Thuan” ship wreck.
Excellent condition with typical traces of production and age (craquelle and missing glaze at the rim). See photos.

With everted rim and pronounced footring, floral motif outside – inside a bloom in the medalion. Wanli blue undergalze, marked. Wonderful piece!
