Small Plate with the mythical creature “Qilin” as decoration painted in Underglaze Blue. At the rim with hidden decor. Ming Mark on the base.
Provenance: from a dutch collector who bought it May 1981 at Sothebys Amsterdam / Mak van Waay
Perfect condition, only typical traces of production and of the age.

Rare antique chinese porcelain cup and saucer – Kangxi Period (1662–1722)
Beautiful and rare Chinese porcelain cup and saucer with qilin and phoenix decorations in cobalt blue underglaze from the Kangxi Period, 1662–1722. The cup and saucer are marked with lingzhi on the bottom.
Excellent condition: only traces of production (small glaze flaw at the side of the cup and a firing error in the base) and traces of use – no chips, hairlines, cracks or restorations.
