Superb chinese Porcelain Plate, Kangxi Period & Mark (1662-1722), 17th Century
Very rare chinese porcelain dish, thin porcelain, extremly fine and rich decorated with flower motifs and birds in the center, painted in cobalt blue oxide underglaze in a shade of intense blue found only in select Kangxi blue and white wares.
Excellent condition, typical Kangxi fritting and a small baking fault to rim (photo 4) – further only the typical traces of production (baking traces at base rim) and use – no chips, cracks, hairlines or restorations.
A great collectors piece, hard to find!
